Honda Motorcycles
Honda's first appearance in North America was in Vancouver in 1959, there were six original dealers that took on the new brand hopeful for something different than the norm, Rex and Glenn Turple were one of those original six, and the last standing of them too, making Turple Bros. Ltd. the oldest Honda dealer in North America. 10 years after the first Honda motorcycle came to north america, Honda Canada was formed. Throughout the years we have seen a lot of Honda Motorcycles come through our doors from the iconic CB750 (in our main logo) to the race winning CBR lineup, the new and old Africa Twin, the king of touring bikes, the Goldwing, and so many more. We always look forward to see what Honda Motorcycles brings us next. |
Honda Rebel 500A true rebel refuses to compromise – just like the Honda Rebel 500 refuses to choose between performance, precision and style. It’s able to deliver all three in excess, thanks to the timeless cruiser styling, a lean twin-cylinder engine and user-friendly power. |
Tuned for CruisingThe engine is light and compact, contributing to the Rebel’s impressive power-to-weight ratio. Special tuning accentuates low-RPM power and torque, making the Rebel perfect for bopping around the city. |
Crisp ResponseProgrammed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) continuously monitors several variables to help ensure the correct fuel mixture for the current riding and atmospheric conditions. The system delivers optimal performance and remarkably crisp throttle response over a wide range of operating conditions. |
Strong Low-end TorqueThe Rebel’s 471 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin-cylinder engine is drawn from the sporty CBR500R. For cruising duties, revised PGM-FI fuel injection mapping and different valve and ignition timings mean its character is shifted away from the high rpm-focused performance of the CBR to torque-heavy bottom-end output, with smooth and linear delivery throughout the rev range. |
Slipper ClutchNot only does the Honda Assist Slipper Clutch help to prevent rear-wheel lock up on downshifts, it also reduces clutch lever operation effort by 30%, making the six-speed gearbox even smoother. |

LED LightingAll lights are now LED, and the evocative round headlight features a compact 175 mm diameter lens and die-cast aluminium mount. The ultra-thin oval taillight and licence plate light match the Rebel’s low-down stance and the mini circular LED indicators measure only 55 mm in diameter, offering great visibility in a compact package. |
Customize your RideWant to make your Rebel uniquely your own? Now there are more ways than ever to customize your ride. The accessories lineup has been boosted, with a rear rack, backrest, tank pads, saddle bags and instrument visor. |
Ample RangeChopper-style fuel tank looks compact, but its 11.2-litre capacity combines with the engine’s excellent fuel efficiency to help let you ride far and wide between fill-ups. |
Side-Mounted KeyThe side-mounted key location adds to the Rebel’s retro character. |
